Overview
As of Q1 2026, the Platform and Design System teams have officially sunsetted support for the legacy UI Kit libraries. Watson is now the primary design system for all new product development and feature enhancements.
All teams should be migrating to Watson.
Maintenance & Governance:
- Official Support: No further updates, bug fixes, or Figma library maintenance will be provided by the core DS team.
- Self-Service Model: Product teams requiring updates to legacy components must manage these changes independently.
- Frictionless Support: Migrating to UI Kit v6 will give you everything you need to migrate to Watson.
